When does the health care sector start acting defensive in a tough economy? How will the new Washington administration impact the health care system in the short term? Where does China fit into international strategies? We intend to shed light on these important questions and more at the 20th Annual Piper Jaffray Health Care Conference.
The traditional fundamental attributes and forward-growth prospects exhibited by the health care sector will be a key component to investing strategies in the New Year. This year’s conference will feature more than 160 of the most highly regarded and influential public companies in the biotechnology, specialty pharmaceuticals, drug discovery, medical technology, medical diagnostics and devices, and health care services sectors.
Public company presentations will feature our new unplugged “fireside chat” format with company management teams in an informal discussion moderated by a Piper Jaffray host. Audience participation and questions are strongly encouraged, as these 30-minute sessions are designed to be more interactive than the separate presentation and breakout session at prior conferences.
Industry experts, physicians, and academicians have also been invited to host panels and address topics of regulatory, reimbursement and legal issues. Further granularity will be presented in disease specific discussions on atherosclerosis, diabetes, cancer and other areas of interest to investors.
In addition, the 20th Annual Piper Jaffray Health Care Conference will feature nearly 100 leading late-stage private companies in the health care universe. These sessions should be of particular interest to private equity investors and venture capitalists.
