5:45 Wake up; go to gym; quickly check Bloomberg or Yahoo Finance for any breaking news
8:00 Arrive at work; check voice mail and calendar; run through any important e-mails
8:15 Read Wall Street Journal, Dealbook and Technology industry newswire
9:00 Examine IPO valuation work prepared by analyst the night before
10:00 Meeting with deal team to prepare for an afternoon client meeting
10:30 Start work on a convertible pitch; work on company positioning and valuation metrics
12:00 Meeting with senior banker to discuss convertible pitch updates for client readiness
12:30 Lunch
1:00 Work with assistant to update convertible pitch based on senior banker comments; order additional research
2:00 Conference call with IPO client to discuss management presentation for the upcoming road show
3:30 Internal follow-up meeting with the IPO deal team; set plan of action
4:00 Conference call with CFO of sell-side client to provide update on the auction process and review buyer documents received
4:30 Meeting with senior banker on a new upcoming client meeting
5:00 Write summary of the day’s sell-side deal activity and forward it to Piper Jaffray deal team
6:30 Get dinner and meet with analyst to start work on pitch book
7:00 Make final changes to convertible pitch and send to senior banker
