Murray Huneke is a managing director and co-head of investment banking and the consumer group at Piper Jaffray. With more than 20 years as an investment banker, Huneke is experienced in a full range of investment banking activities, including public offerings, private placements of equity and debt, mergers and acquisitions, and restructuring.
Prior to joining Piper Jaffray, Huneke served for eight years in the consumer team at Banc of America Securities/Montgomery Securities in San Francisco, where he was a managing director and responsible for the restaurant and food and beverage investment banking teams. Huneke started his investment banking career in 1987 at Alex. Brown & Sons, Inc. in Baltimore, where he covered the firm’s retailing and other consumer clients. He began his career in retail merchandising and management at Nordstrom.
Huneke graduated from Stanford University and received a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School.

Scott LaRue is a managing director and co-head of the consumer investment banking group at Piper Jaffray. LaRue, who joined the firm in 2003, has extensive experience in corporate finance, including mergers and acquisitions, public stock offerings, leveraged finance, asset securitizations and bond offerings.
Prior to joining Piper Jaffray, LaRue led the food and beverage effort at CSFB/DLJ and was the firm's senior consumer products banker on the West Coast. He was previously a managing director at Bank of America Securities and brings more than 25 years of corporate finance and investment banking experience to Piper Jaffray. During his career, LaRue has completed numerous transactions across a wide range of industries, including packaged good, retailing and diversified industrials.
LaRue graduated from the University of Southern California.
