Sr Research Analyst
Michael Ritzenthaler is a vice president and senior research analyst at Piper Jaffray, focusing on chemical and industrial biotechnology companies. Prior to joining Piper Jaffray in 2010, Ritzenthaler worked as a chemical engineer for a Dow/Cargill JV, as well as plant design and construction with AMEC. He co-invented patents for fractionating lignocellulosics and yeast biotechnology, and won a NASA award for R&D work on polymer composites. Ritzenthaler has bachelor degrees in chemistry from Lawrence University, in chemical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, and an MBA from the University of Minnesota. He has held the Professional Engineer license from the State of Minnesota since 2007.
