Matthew Weaver is a managing director in Piper Jaffray public finance investment banking. He has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare, senior living and municipal finance.
Prior to joining the firm, Weaver was an executive vice president with a national senior living development and management firm where he oversaw the development and financing of startup and operations of continuing care retirement communities. He has also worked for Drexel Burnham Lambert, Inc., Underwood, Neuhaus & Co. and Ponder & Co., where he structured and arranged tax-exempt and taxable bond issues for hospitals, long-term care, and other municipal and not-for-profit organizations.
Weaver has served on the state of Florida health and rehabilitation services committee on housing for the elderly and has been a frequent speaker at senior living and healthcare forums.
Weaver graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a bachelor’s degree in economics from the College of Wooster and received a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in finance from the University of Michigan.
