Phoebe Wong joined Piper Jaffray Asia in 2009 as a principal and senior research analyst covering discretionary retail companies. Wong previously worked at Lehman Brothers and Nomura covering the China and Hong Kong consumer sectors. Prior to that, she worked at Jardine Fleming (now JP Morgan) as a China research analyst, and at Kleinwort Benson (now Dresdner Kleinwort Benson) in the private equity field. Wong also worked for more than two years in the financials and audit industry at Jardine Matheson and Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers). Wong was named in the Institutional Investor Asia consumer team and ranked in the AsiaMoney as a top-ten best regional consumer analyst and in the Starmine survey as the best earnings estimator for overall markets. She holds a bachelor's degree in commerce from the University of Melbourne and is a Certified Public Accountant of Hong Kong and Australia.
